We’ve been watching their unconscionable abuses for almost a year. There’s no realistic “reform” that could repair public trust in this agency.

The asylum process is horrific. People need lawyers to navigate it successfully, which is incredibly costly. One of the reason you need lawyers is because the slightest inconsistency in your story will be interpreted as you not telling the truth.

What Trump learned long ago as a private citizen is that you can easily ruin someone’s life with frivolous litigation even if you ultimately lose in court. And that was when he was spending his own money to harass and intimidate people. Now he’s spending yours.

Do not, for one solitary second, let Bob, 52, sales manager from Wherever, Wisconsin sour you on the project of human emancipation. Don't do it! There have always been Bobs. There will always be Bobs. If you disagree with Bob, you either get through to Bob or beat him. That's the work. Onward.

They have lied. They are lying now. They will continue to lie. They will always blame someone else. This is what fascists do: they disrupt reality.

We need to expect that convincing people of the truth will be a long, necessary work.

By 1925, that number was 135 out of a 1000 children.

Today, in 2025, that number is *7*

And it is entirely due to advances in medicine, public health, and technology.
