I still heavily deal with imposter syndrome BUT...

I try to deal with it by trying to "fake it till I make it". Maybe I don't belong here...but while I'm here let me at least act like it.

Another big help for me, oddly enough, was learning that Adam Savage still deals with imposter syndrome.

One of the worst things I've ever experienced was when I accidentally let spicy giardiniera juice go down the wrong pipe. That doubling of the feeling like choking on your spit with the burning in my windpipe was just terrifying.

They've always been this way. When we got participation trophies as kids, it's not because we were clamoring for them. The parents wanted something to make them feel like their kid was special. Then they turn around and complain like it was our fault.

I got to make duck lambrusco last year, with a bunch of sides like farro salad, along with more traditional Thanksgiving fare (we just got tired of turkey) and it was some of the most fun I've had in years.

The problem with the cameras is who they're reporting to, and what the incentives are. The issue we were experiencing in the Chicago suburbs were that the red light/speed cameras were being run by a third party who got a cut from every infraction and thus were incentivized to fudge the thresholds.
