Probably Hades 2. That game took everything that made the original great and dialed it up immensely, very much enjoyed it. Dispatch and Silksong are two very close seconds. For 2026, it’s hard not to say GTA6 but RE Requiem and Onimusha are very high on my list.

The big saving grace, like all FS games, is the art in the game. Everything else barely treads water, if not flat out makes the game worse. If gaming is about having fun, FS games are the furthest thing from it IMO.

Made it to the last boss and instantly knew I was not going to have any fun in that fight. Remember when games were about having fun and not having to slog through an enormously difficult boss fight made more difficult due to abysmal controls and an even worse camera? 6/10, will not play again.

Also, this game came out in 2019. How is the camera in this game so abysmally awful? Can’t tell you how many deaths I’ve had simply due to not being able to see the attack that killed me.
