I cooked a pork Vindahloo (and a Quorn one) based on a traditional Goan recipe. The Vin is wine. Toned down the spice somewhat to acceptable levels. TIL that Portuguese India existed til 1961 I'd previously assumed they'd been kicked out at a similar time to us but no.
