This is normal, UK government also 'self insures', I worked at a number of UK museums/ at galleries, none of them had insurance. This was over 10 years ago, so may have changed.

Ah, Boxing Day 2018, staying with friends in the middle of nowhere. I ate the veneer from my front tooth for breakfast, while eating some rather delicious home made granary toast. I thought it was crunchy.

It tells you a lot that Johnson chose to ask about the garbage comment.
Reminds me of when he asked a focus group about Jimmy Savile re Starmer, which was then selectively clipped.
I do not trust JJ at all, he just seems desperate to break into the US market to pedal his own nativist agenda.
