Runs a charity bookshop, drinks tea a lot.
My teen son loves bright colours and it's a struggle finding anything other than black, grey or camo. When he was little he had plenty of great clothes from the 'girl' section but that's not really an option now he's 6ft tall and still growing.

Women, we need to join forces with the menfolk who are also suffering with rubbish clothes. "Pockets for all, colours for all!"

Hello! I'm near the end of my re-read of the Thursday Next books which I'm very much enjoying. I'll get back to the TBR pile afterwards.

Just ordered one for the old man for Christmas. Hope it's got programs every bit as exciting as the one I had in my Speccy programming book which calculated your age in seconds (and called you stinky if your name was Nigel - that bit may have been added by me) 🤞

I did not know about this! Can't wait either.

I went to a book quiz at @bforbutterflybooks.bsky.social on Wednesday night and my team won! We got beautiful book-related tote bag prizes and I definitely snaffled the best one!

Hello! I'm just finishing this early Xmas present to myself and it's as hugely enjoyable as all the rest of @caimhmc.bsky.social 's Stranger Times series. Loving the cover art too!

I went to see Patti Smith on Monday in London and am going to Self Esteem tomorrow in Sheffield. Lots of gadding about the country to see awesome women this week. I'm not usually this hyperactive.

Because nothing shouts "reading for pleasure" like a lovely test. What a treat for those lucky kids!

I can confirm, yes we do! We get far too many copies of The AA Book of British Villages c1985, Windows XP for Dummies and Cooking For Your Freezer (orange and covered in 40 year old stains) donated. Dan Browns are the least of our worries, at least they're relatively small paperbacks.

Afternoon! I'm dithering between these two as I've just finished my last book and picking the next world to dive into is always the hardest thing. Ipp dip sky blue...

Hello! Our library is closing for a refurb and they were giving away some old stock for free so I thought I'd pick one up and try this murder mystery by a new-to-me author.
