I actually thought their new party would tbh… very disappointed that they only care about other genocides. Thankfully Zack has finally given the LGBT community somewhere to call home

It would be interesting if got appealed and found its way up to the SC…

If the interim is found to be unlawful though, I presume the final guidance won’t be laid before parliament. I’m going to assume that is at least part of the reason for the delay

I've not checked, or confirmed accuracy, but there are references to follow. I was more interested in understanding the potential outcomes and points the judge would be considering. For reference - AI was Sonnet 4.5 with a Temp of 0.2. Using Exa, LinkUp & Tavily MCPs for search and grounding.

Agreed it will take a long time, and loses can definitely be challenged. I'm a bit more concerned how parliament will interpret and react on the outcome. I am sure they will have been waiting for this case and the ruling...

I've done a quick and dirty AI research task to gather the case info together.

docs.google.com/document/d/e...

I'm not 100% sure of the accuracy as I have not checked the references, so take as that... I do feel somewhat more informed now though. Any thoughts on it?
GLP vs EHRC

I really hope you’re wrong… especially if the outcome is that article 8 isn’t for everyone…

I don’t believe they took down the “interim guidance” for any reason except tactical, certainly not a win or positive outcome for anyone, it’s part of the EHRCs strategy to either throw the case out or something else that’s been cooked up between them, SM and others
November 11, 2025 at 11:34 AM
Oh I think you’ve got me wrong, I’m not angry, certainly not with GLP, I’m just extremely anxious around the possible outcome of this case, and the potential that it all goes horribly wrong.. Sorry if I gave the wrong impression :)

Yes understood… I hate being negative, but honestly I feel like there is a level of predetermination, and/or things going on behind the scenes, and that this has the chance to go seriously wrong. Do we know who is judging the case, and their record? Also the records of the lawyers on both sides?
November 11, 2025 at 11:19 AM
At this point what does the risk/benefit analysis look like? It seems like losing could bring about far more harm than any benefit from a ‘win’ would bring. Can someone explain what a win would even look like?
November 11, 2025 at 9:12 AM
So we’re basically saying that if GLP f this one up, they could inadvertently be responsible for setting in law the very situation they are trying to protect people from? And if SM are going in with ‘proof’ that article 8 does not exist for trans people, and the court agrees?

1. It’s odd Marie, in your previous post, you were celebrating the LD’s support for the ECHR, but now you are in favour of pushing through unworkable ‘guidance’ that violates ECHR rules, destroys the lives of a vulnerable minority, sets back women’s rights, reducing us to looks and ability to breed

Amazing work @reactiveashley.bsky.social I've passed this on to a number of orgs and groups
