We wrapped up 2024 with: “A multi-criteria decision support tool for shared decision making in clinical consultations” as well as some excellent progress towards our next research study on serious spinal pathology decision support, launching in early 2025.

November saw the start of the Med Tech Superconnector. It was a fantastic few days of learning and networking. More importantly, ideas about how our spinal pathology app could make it out into the world. Big dreams approaching reality!

A flurry of submissions followed in October, two to the World Congress of Physiotherapy, wp2025.world.physio and one to AI in Medicine Journal. A couple of big fish, so fingers crossed!

September took a turn for the entrepreneurial, where we started to explore the commercial side of our research. We had some productive conversations with Queen Mary Innovation, IP experts and led up to an application to the Med Tech Superconnector programme!

In May we produced an updated interface for our Spinal Pathology Model. This was a huge step forwards to launching further studies, more technical development and of course, getting people to try it out!

In April I had my first foray into delivering a lecture for the MSc Sports and Exercise Medicine. We also saw the progression of two more research papers to first review. Lots of writing but hopefully some better outputs as a result!

In March, we launched our study website mskairesearch.com and started recruitment for our consensus work on the management of Low Back Pain. That, plus a quick turnaround to resubmit the funding application made for a busy month!
