Spending more time with my daughter is by far the best part of school holidays. We spent the morning creating art inspired by Palestinian scholar and writer Samiha Olwan. She shared the impact of the devastation of her homeland in Gaza but also the desire to celebrate the beauty she remembers.

Listening to my 7 year old read a simple chapter book might sound fairly standard. It’s not for every kid. I’m so thankful to the teachers at the Language Development Centre she attends (since Kindy). She might have #DLD & #Dyslexia but she’s reading & so positive about learning #thankteachers ☺️
