Last week would’ve been my dad’s 80th birthday. Went back home to hang out with my mom. No other family, no friends, just chilling with my mom. It was an amazing, low-key, stress-free couple of weeks. Thanks, Mom, I love you. And happy birthday, Pops; I love you.

It’s also the story of a young man who becomes a real resistance fighter simply by doing his job at a radio station that is determined to get the truth out the people.
Really great stuff and well worth a watch. Especially today in 2025. 2/2

At the Eastern European Film Festival, watched Waves, a political thriller that is a harrowing look at life under the late 60s authoritative, oppressive regime of the Czech Republic, which allowed no freedom of the press unless it agreed with its own views and agenda. 1/2

Extraordinary and magical Kate Bush Peter Gabriel show at @hughsroomlive.bsky.social last night! Some unique renditions of old favourites, some great rockin moments, and amazing acoustics and sound from the board. I was in musical heaven!

I can’t blame young people for not knowing what a floppy disk is but I love their interpretation of the Save symbol!

First at TIFF, now in theatres and on CBCGem, this Lilith Fair doc brought so many great memories back for me.
It puts the Fair into historical context of the music industry at the time, and is so revealing and fun!
Much love to you, Sarah! ❤️

They say that over time, people start to look like their pets.

But I don’t believe it.

She also said that I slept more deeply than during my previous sleep study without the CPAP. Yet this morning I didn’t feel refreshed, I have a headache and strangely, a pain in my chest, and I had to take a nap afterward.

Another sleep study, this time using a CPAP machine—so massively uncomfortable! I had to switch twice before getting any decent sleep. But even the last one put too much pressure on my nose and upper lip. The technician said that I may have to consider using a full face mask version.

Been dying to see BRMC for a couple decades now…and yesterday was finally the day! 20th anniversary of their album, Howl, a huge change from their usual hard rockin’ style. It was bluesy indie folk rock with a touch of country and gospel. Just a fantastically musical and soul-stirring album.

Equating rape to getting action? Disgusting.
Worse still are Brock’s own actions.
