I just learned this while shopping for Christmas books for the grandbabies! It has the gorgeous illustrations we know to expect from you with the soothing words we expect from her!

Love this idea! Book jackets are currently our source of bookmarks. 🙂
Jackets don’t last long in kindergarten backpacks, looking torn and dingy within weeks. However, the covers underneath are wipeable. We especially love glossy covers. ❤️

“They” say so many bookish things that I think we get to pick which ones we want to follow.

I’m going with the “write the book that only you can write” hoping that it fills gaps in others’ collections too.

Since districts are investing in curriculum (rather than literature), school libraries are staffed by ambitious, book loving moms (paid less than a fast food workers) who host book fairs twice a year, hoping to have enough in sales to cover needed supplies. And a few non Scholastic titles. #kidlit

It’s beautiful! And in a small town? That brings such hope!

Thanks! Love the sentiment!

My book releasing next year is called, “Heroes Need Help.” We are ALL the hero of our own story, but we cannot do it alone. We need a team fighting alongside with us! Thanks for cheering us on.

Cheetos, spanakopita, and Haagen-Dazs ice cream bars.
(The Cheetos were so I wouldn’t cave to my vending machine temptation. 24yo’s brain tumor needed to be surgically drained for the 3rd time this year. He is cheerfully back to campus & I am cheerfully consuming the foods I picked when stressed.)

I went to Costco hungry, with my less thrifty husband. 🙂 So many of my favorite comfort foods came home with us! It was exactly what I needed.

The school moved the after school club into the library so our times of calm are rare.
So, I shake a maraca to get the kids’ attention when it gets too loud to hear the shy ones say their name at the checkout desk.
I miss the days when a rain stick did the trick, but we are a louder society now.
