#2025MMM bracket? Checked.
I❤️Science hoodie from NSTA? On.
Caffeine? Consumed.
Ramen? Cooking.

So ready for tonight’s MMM interactions (because running away is scientifically accurate and not every interaction will involve a fight)

Sharing a quote from the last few seconds of Ch.1 of “Silent Spring” by my personal scientific hero, Rachel Carson:

“The obligation to endure gives us the right to know.”

This is in the context of the everyday citizen having to endure the consequences of overuse of chemical insecticides.

My husband suggested asking AI to make a #2025MMM bracket (made my own as well), but also wanted to see what Google’s AI Overview would say. This just in: polar bears are large cats 🐱

The outside of my classroom is ready for the #2025MMM bracket drop tomorrow! I let all my classes know a bit about it today and my coworkers are getting excited about it as well.

Also, any coworker that finds this account, no you didn’t. Love you 💙

Happy Black History Month #EduSky ! How are you including this month into your class?

I have a Black Bio-related scientists bulletin board outside my classroom, and we’re also learning about a few more in depth during class lessons. Today’s lesson included Dr. Emmett Chappelle

Now that mine is down, if the app does end up being “saved”, I want to remind everyone of a good quote to keep in mind: “Silence is the residue of fear” - Clint Smith.

We need to be sure that any and all fascist content is countered. Do not go silent.

If any educators looking to learn more about what to expect in the coming years, here’s a good place to start! Many districts have already experienced what is detailed in this book, but I predict that it will only increase over the next 4+ years

#Teachers what are your thoughts on single point rubrics vs regular rubrics? I’m trying to make grading/giving feedback for writing in science to a bit faster and can’t decide which I prefer.
