I really love the design and the versatility of those design! Real core Maxis match for me. I just don't understand why EA never think of a kit like this!

Let us know if it works for you too. If that's the case, I noticed this bug doesn't strike on every couple in the game. Just some unlucky ones.

I had this problem, and manage to kind of fix it by unchecking Fears and Wants. Did you tried it?

I bet they intend to release later some stuffs packs about specific hobbies (dance ballet, sports, arcade etc...) Like we had with jewellery and pizza/waffle making.
