Assuming I can still get one at any time, if I want to maximize my protection during the most probable infection risk peak of December to January, when should I get it? I'm just trying to time this based on normal serum IgG kinetics which seems to show a peak from 8 to 12 weeks post booster.

Oh don't worry, Mr. Brainworms has already read this article and is not happy about it lol. He tried getting it retracted but they aren't complying. www.pharmexec.com/view/annals-...
'Annals of Internal Medicine' Rejects Kennedy’s Call to Retract Aluminum in Vaccine Study
The journal is standing by the study, which looked into the safety of vaccines that have aluminum ingredients.

Would also recommend getting an updated TDaP vaccine - pertussis is spreading like crazy right now and it's an extremely unpleasant and long lasting infection. Unfortunately the vaccine from childhood wears off very quickly.

Agree 100%. I'm just an immunology nerd and love discussing this stuff :P

It also shows that in cultured human PBMCs the virus isn't even able to replicate effectively versus the WT strain. I don't think there is much of a danger of immune amnesia from the vaccine strain, but of course it should still be discussed with your doctor.

I think the attenuated viral strain still would be significantly safer for weakened patients vs the WT virus. I found a paper showing the LAMV strain doesn't disrupt IFNα secretion like the WT strain and therefore causes a more robust innate response: shorturl.at/7CjnY
Acute induction of IFNα is responsible for the attenuation of the live measles vaccine
The live-attenuated measles vaccine (LAMV) protects against measles in a safe, efficacious and durable manner. However, the mechanism by which LAMV is attenuated is not well understood, contributing t...

I think absolute lymphocytes/CBC with auto diff would be fine. The 4 and 8 ratio can vary significantly and as long as someone isn't long term immunosuppressed there shouldn't be too much of a risk. Plus flow antibodies are crazy expensive and insurance likely wouldn't cover this for most people.
