I love baseball, also am kinda Gay. Voted most adequate person for 2024
Why do I think that was part of the reason, for some cringy like “I’m close to my goal” motivational shit

Oh my god 😭
December 3, 2025 at 11:42 PM
Oh my I need to know, that fact has been top of my mind for two weeks

All while McGreevey had his HQ in the most anti machine area of the city, which showcased pretty openly how bad of an idea this all was
December 3, 2025 at 11:39 PM
Like they had multiple times to change course, multiple opportunities to pick a different less bad candidate and they stuck with McGreevey
December 3, 2025 at 11:33 PM
Didn’t even need to look at the article to know it was a Scutari bill. Our Republican Senate President has an MO and everyone in Trenton knows it.

Hakeem Jeffries is genuinely one of the worst party leaders in the world. Which is an accomplishment considering some of his contemporaries. He is bad at every aspect of politics, legislating, and leading an opposition party in a legislature. He makes Susan Ley and Pierre Poilievre look competent

“that was involved with a scandal relating to George Norcross 20+ years ago”

This comes up way too often in NJ 💀
December 3, 2025 at 4:10 PM
That too! But the drive for self preservation is always more pronounced

Writers of political dramas always write these long monologues where a boss or corrupt politician speaks in these grand tones and uses subtlety to mask their actions. Meanwhile here these people are like “oh yeah, leadership said to vote this way or get taken off the line”
December 3, 2025 at 3:31 PM
A great exercise is to watch an assembly voting session and count how many times when someone is speaking the people around them are fucking around on their phones not paying attention. They don’t care because they’re told exactly how to vote so why pay attention unless your bill is up?
December 3, 2025 at 3:28 PM
Best example of this are legislators who act like days in Trenton are a punishment and when down there play on their phones or fall asleep in contrast to members of the public who give up part of their day to testify and then witness their legislators show absolute indifference to their concerns.

They love the title and perks of whatever office they hold, they love being able to use the special license plates, get reservations by using their title and being honored at dinners and the like. But as you say, their actual job is almost like an annoyance.

Excited about this. The Jersey doom fund was immensely successful and is the first time donations I made truly felt impactful
December 2, 2025 at 3:23 PM
“He’s a fuckin Republican”
December 2, 2025 at 12:02 AM
A largely unaccountable body (thanks to the weird term system) which operates mainly on the hope that most people won’t pay attention to the openly corrupt things they do regularly. Luckily without the line we may finally see change in 2027
December 1, 2025 at 11:33 PM
He is actually posting about it and actually covering it, and will likely write a (good) article about it if allowed
December 1, 2025 at 9:46 PM
He’ll do a thousand stories about some obscure story from a house race in 1946, and let both O’Tooles pollute the world with their ramblings, but god forbid someone bring up real issues like this.
December 1, 2025 at 8:44 PM
The thing is they’re really selective with how they deal with Kim. For moments like this there have been plenty of moments where machine legislators pal around with Andy when they think it’ll benefit them
December 1, 2025 at 8:21 PM
Mikie needs to make the call now whether she’s on board with this shit. And it’s honestly in her best interest to oppose it as this sort of thing is exactly how Nick and co will try to screw her over. So if anything to be successful she’s gotta stand up to the machine
December 1, 2025 at 8:20 PM
Even by Trenton standards this is utterly absurd. Usually they do let progressives and groups testify against a bill. What Beach is doing is insane even by the extremely low standards Trenton has

The Liberals too???
