Woke up nice and early for a productive PhD morn. Instead, spent it destroying the bathroom cabinets in my new house because this young starling fledgling was trapped! Carpe diem, little dude!

I amused an undergrad yesterday when I commented the end of PhD has driven me crazy enough to be writing rough drafts of work on a typewriter first before moving to a computer. This is genuinely my desk!

Took the train today rather than drive so that I could work. Rewarded by @tpexpress.bsky.social with a free book for World Book Day! Nice!
