I got really into making custom arcade sticks as a hobby a year or so back if you can't tell 😅

Yeah absolutely as well as actuation force, I rest my fingers on mine a lot so prefer buttons that need a lil more pressure to prevent mistriggering. My buttons have keyboard switch sockets inside em so that allows so many options... Bat Vs ball top is a great point too and so many variations within

You've asked a dangerous question, its a rabbit hole! But honestly just about everything it comes down to personal taste. I'd say it's very similar to customising a mechanical keyboard so everything feels just right for you. Simple mods include new buttons or heavier stick springs for faster neutral

Ah the rap is a great stick and a really good base for modding. I'm sure once he gets used to the stick controls he's coming for the crown!

Ahhh perfect then! You're in for something special especially given the time period it came out in, low key jealous that it's going in blind!

I wish I could play this for the first time again! How much do you know about the twists? Going in as blind as possible is absolutely the move, but I know every facet of this game has been memed to death so that's a lot harder than it was 20 years ago! I feel ancient writing that

Same here. So many different bags to audit, very important work.

No worries! The only other additional thing I'd add is...and this is just general good practice. Is to plug in and power everything on with all respective volume levels set to 0 and and carefully increase them when using a setup for the first time to avoid any nasty pops and bangs wrecking speakers

If you convert the 1/4 inch to RCA and use a line input and not phono on the receiver you should be fine. Things only tend to get dangerous when you try running speaker level signal into an amp

As for the whole house? Maybe yeah eventually
October 15, 2025 at 5:40 PM
That took me a good year to get to that point, a month is absolutely smashing it
