It's interesting you see it that way, I can certainly say it takes me much less time to get an accurate answer with ChatGPT than via Google. The algorithm makes what you type much more powerful than a search bar.

They are useful for one very important thing that people don't seem to realise – they reduce the need for humans to use computers as much. You're not searching google and spending 10 minutes looking for an answer, you ask an LLM and check its sources. That is a bright future.

Ah, I misunderstood what you meant by low agency then.

Are you not a fan of the guy, or the dislike of IoT?

FYI friend, the latex wasn't compiling for me

I imagine hardware acceleration might not work in this case.

You've spent too much time on the internet. The best cleanup you can do right now is to stop using it.

Just look at all his crypto dealings. Of course he understands.

Yes, this is precisely what I was expecting. Cursor is neat but emacs & vim are such a perfect fit for an LLM that it's only a matter of time.

I do not understand

Beloved? Good riddance! It became incredibly frustrating to use after MSFT's acquisition, especially the business client.

I would accept that compromise, I think it describes the left pretty well. Technical but often narrow minded.

I found Stereolab a few months ago and they immediately jumped to my most played

I see you have a tendency to the wrong opinion

I think you need a better localised manufacturing segment before you can support startups properly. I wonder if you can approach manufacturing similarly to startup culture...

I've recently overhauled my setup with use-package and org-mode init.el. Org-mode makes it easier to organise, whereas use-package ensures I have everything related under one heading. gewhere.github.io/orgmode-emac...

I don't think culture is a choice. Even if we decide to let go of all traditions new ones will emerge and have the exact same problems.
