@lbc.co.uk Nick, I have a modern boiler connected to 40 year old rads and pipes… I am achieving a wry high % of efficiency. It isn’t the ancillary items that are the problem, more how condensing boilers are used.

Alas Google has no image recorded to aid in identifying this building… looks official, could have been do with the UK forces. Google did get the geographical location right, Cyprus. 1958/9.

Believe this picture was taken at Beirut, Lebanon, 1959… looks to built up in the background to be Cyprus.

I think this is an Austin 3 ton long wheel base (thrupenny bit cab) that my dad rolled. Minor injury noted in service report. After rolling locals helped my dad and colleagues out of the wreck offering them cigarettes to calm their nerves.

On a Christmas communication my granddad wrote to my grandmother, a love note in many respects, when he was stationed in Cairo during WWII she subsequently wrote a recipe for mock almond icing on the back of it.

Dahlia ‘Labyrinth Two Tone’… didn’t think it would come to much but now stands at just under 1.7m. It has crowded out the climbing rose.

It is both a grower and a shower 😎

Broccoli and Brussels Sprouts ready to plant out… but before I do I need to find out what the foxes are going to do when they see the netting cage…

…foxes are incorrigible after all.

I am not up with newts, looks like a smooth newt, but this one was under a water bowl on a concrete path. I relocated it to somewhere more appropriate. Checked five mins later and it had moved off.
