Education technologist. Londoner. Former journalist. Rants here entirely personal.
I have started watching this every year as a Christmas tradition.

The details get funnier on each rewatch (even if it’s marred by split second cameos by two extras who have swung to the very online right).

Absolutely this.

Reform complained there was “no contemporaneous record or corroborating evidence” when in fact Farage’s National Front tendencies were so extraordinary even at the time that a teacher wrote to his head saying he was too racist to be a prefect.

some of what they hate is globalisation, which like, what do you want me to do about that? uninvent oil tankers?

I like this theory as it connects two things I hate.

Can I add "vertical video" to this conspiracy? It looks like shite and ushered in all sorts of poor quality video "content".

So yes, I'd say it's another harbinger of the AI slop age.

Even Epstein is here acknowledging that a third of those names are just wishes and not people that have been even lightly approached (32 names, yet only 23 have “agreed in principle” and those aren’t highlighted).

Ah - thanks for doing an update on this. Relieved it’s not just me and will be arriving digitally at some point.

The whole “not available for purchase in your country” meant it felt like the UK had been abandoned…

Don’t worry - I’ve got the very obvious answer…

My obvious plan for the next three Bond films
James Bond is dead. So what happens now?

I find it astonishing the BBC will tear itself up over a moment in a montage - not a scene critical to the documentary's (balanced) argument.

Meanwhile another channel can broadcast a fabricated claim that stirs up hatred against a vulnerable group with zero censure.

A national newspaper journalist went on a British TV channel to claim police stats showed asylum-seekers committed 44% of sex crimes in Dorset.

This shocking claim was treated as fact by the channel which promoted the clip on social media where it was amplified by AI.

Except... it's bollocks.

In case anyone thinks I'm imagining this.
November 10, 2025 at 2:42 PM
Indeed. You have to be really down the far-right rabbit hole of blaming asylum-seekers for everything to be unable to pause and say “Wait - that makes no logical sense given what a tiny proportion of Dorset’s population are asylum-seekers.”

Yeah - and Grok continues to double down on it.

I wondered if the correction notes had sunk in, so just checked again.

No, the AI for X continues to promote a hate-mongering falsehood as fact.

I’ve done that but am, sadly, not holding my breath.
November 9, 2025 at 3:05 PM
I’ve reported it.

But whether @ofcom.bsky.social will respond or take action is another matter.
