PL people tend to look for struggling players so they can reinforce the narrative of PL being the be-all, end-all league. It's like the narrative of Portugal league players struggling in PL...yes some do, but many don't. Wirtz struggles, Woltemade does not.

Let correct that: THEIR games are failing to stand out. I swear every game they make is either Assassin's Creed or a clone of something else.

That's true, when games are starting at 3am local time it's only going to be die-hards watching ir watching later. Will certainly help with transfers though, I would think.

It's a step in the right direction for MLS. It'll surely be tweaked over the coming years, but it brings them in out of the wilderness and makes them a part of world soccer rather than a league that's "over there".

It's a weird feeling. They're 8-2, and yet I fully expect a one-and-done in the playoffs. But at the same time, they could pull a 2000 Ravens and win every game 18-15 on last-second field goals. Each outcome is equally stupid and viable.

Exactly what I said, "Don't worry, they'll tack on a lot of extra time so Bayern can tie it up". Sure enough, 5 minutes extra time, draw.
