When you go through bad times, a good woman will always stand beside you just to remind you know that things wouldn’t be so bad if you’d listened to her in the first place.

"These themes reflect Burke’s background in math, gaming, and speculative humor, creating a tone that’s playful yet thoughtful, cozy yet occasionally haunting." -- Grok

Yeah, so be nice, or I'll occasionally haunt you!

Another exciting episode of "Walkin' in Brooklyn"
The blog entry (with pictures) is from early August.
Yes, I'm catching up. I did a lot of walking in the summer!

Up and out early on another warm August morning. The map says my walk started at 6:58 am. I guess I made good time getting to Saratog...

It’s amazing that some “book promoters” don’t know the meaning of “LOL, No.”

Wow. I actually heard from a “Book Marketing Strategist” who sent me a two-page vision.
I’m not convinced they actually read my book, mind you.
I’m pretty sure they read what my editor wrote on the back cover and spun it through AI to compare me with Ray Bradbury, Neil Gaiman, and Italo Calvino

Now that I have 5 short fantasy books out, and since I want the next book to be scifi (space or time travel), I’m thinking that maybe I should consolidate these into one larger book for people who people 200-300 pages instead of 50-60.

What do you think?
