Another largely cloudless sky this morning in the Lakes. Temperature hovering around 2 degrees but the wind made it feel bitter cold.

Limestone oak wood. The last vestiges of autumn colour remained today. They were in the minority thanks to the greens off the ivy and brambles. The Oaks were gone completely with only a few hints of yellow from Sycamores, sweet chestnut and the odd birch. #photography #landscapephotography

Flooded Manesty #2 - I almost always see a Monochrome image in the field and make the decision at the time of pressing the shutter. One in a while, I see one only later on the screen. This is a variant of yesterday's colour image.

We're just back from a week on Skye. Not a photography trip but some time together away from the rest of the world. I've only a few photos, this is one of a morning looking across the Sound of Sleat to Ladhar Bheinn in Knoydart. The views across the water were a tonic in themselves.
