While I share your enthusiasm for a short remaining lifespan for He Who Shall not be Named, I think the expectation that his death will mark the end of this darkness is naive. The hatred has been let out of the bottle, and these people are not willing going to climb back under that rock.

Hey Rick Scott, nobody is saying you can’t own stocks. You just can’t own stocks if you want to be a US Congressman. There lots of jobs where one is prohibited from doing something that isn’t illegal, but may compromise ones ability to do their job properly. This is one of those jobs. So pick one.

Easier said than done. The traits that allow a person to be elected seldom correlate to actual competence at governance; in fact, they’re nearly mutually exclusive. Human nature being what it is, people vote for those who tell them what they want to hear, not what they need to hear.
