i think this is a fine approach, blobhosting on pds and otherwise not dumping all chat partials in there to be rederived in some superpublic irc firehose; so long as the underlying servers are meant to be small, dispersed and distinctly not internet scale

well, it depends. if the kids grow into peers then the transformation of the relationship is possible; if you start to confide in them while it's important you keep a more superior role it may ruin it. its a hard thing to infer though

i recognise this. i got a lot of meaning and security out of the role of being a provider, and it meant a sort of unidirectional flow. and it's scary to believe you can confide in someone reciprocally and not lose that role in the process; that it can transform

not really, you're a foreigner anyway and a lot of them have way more than you. for an onsen, check the onsen in question if they allow tattoos

i know you can just shove these sorts of posts at opus and say "do it" but we're sort of describing an rss reader extension + some sort of pki. it feels like a big effort and easily falls into a situation similar to how proton just handles encrypting your emails ... for other proton ppl only. still?
