I was recently in Oldham at a new members meeting, a room packed with energy
People who were Green curious came in to see what we're all about, and joined on the spot after listening to the panel putting forward the Green case on how to build a better future without resorting to hate and division!

Another council meeting, heated courtesy of the hot air pumped out by the Tories
Reform fully backed the Tory white paper
Again proving there's nothing different about reform, it's just a more extreme version of the Tory Party, backed by the same billionaires working for the billionaires!

Cllr Stables brought an amendment to the tory white paper, introducing wealth tax seconded by Cllr Ali, banging home the point around Tory and Reform being in the pockets of big business

Full council - Leeds Greens Punching 👊

We heard from the children's lord mayor, who ran on a manifesto to end bullying and build social cohesion.
To use her analogy, a crayon box of one colour would be boring, a crayon box of all colours, creeds, cultures is a wonderful idea.

On #armisticeday we remember the great tragedy of war and all those that lost their lives. As we strive to build a more peaceful world for everyone to live free and equal.

On rememberece Sunday I had the duty to lay the wreath on behalf of the @LeedsGreenParty

When we remember the sacrifices made we must also remember the current conflicts such a Palestine and Sudan and the continous loss of life throughout the world and seek to build a world of peace not endless war

Two women. Two murders. Two acts of sexual violence — but treated so differently.
And now, we’re seeing racists so emboldened that they’re using the threat of rape as a weapon of intimidation.

Last night in Leeds, I joined a powerful demo after recent attacks on brown women across the UK.

I almost didn’t want to speak — because it’s women’s voices that need to be amplified. But this had to be said.

If I say Sarah Everard, most people know that name.
If I say Sabina Nessa, far fewer do

Transphobes don't just hate trans people, but they're generally quite shit - racists, islamophobes, shit politics, that's what they stand for
When I said our fight is one, I meant it, the same people coming after one minority also target others
Legitimate concerns need space, hate doesn’t

It was an absolute honour to be at the EuroAsia curry awards 2025 today in Earls Court.
To celebrate the achievements of so many leading figures in the curry trade. A huge contribution to the British economy and enrichment of British cuisine and culture.

Ordinary people face the same problems across the world from the effects of climate change, the rise in the cost of living, political repression.
Ordinary people of the world need to unite and come together against those that seek our exploitation
