I've been on projects that used GenAi for the same "placeholder" purpose, and I had no idea it was used until I was tasked with ensuring they were removed from the game.

It sounds weird, but I feel like it gets pretty good about 30/40 hours in. The writing can be really annoying at times since it leans into archetypes quite a bit (to be expected from those games, I assume) but now I'm enjoying more that I'm done with the main route.
