Yesterday, Professor Thomas Rabenstein from the University of Greenwich delivered a taster lecture on inflation to our Year 12 Economists. Students asked thoughtful questions, took part in discussions & found out more about studying Economics at university.

Thursday lunchtime saw students and staff bake and organise for a cake sale to support the relief efforts in Jamaica following the devastating hurricane at the end of last month. Pupils raised over £240 as well as making a lot of us very happy with some excellent cakes.

GCSE Textiles students explored sustainability at the new V&A East, transforming Vivienne Westwood deadstock fabrics into beautiful accessories. At the Young V&A, they contributed to a collaborative textile artwork, soon to be displayed by resident artist Amanda Vesthardt.

Our GCSE Drama students enjoyed spending a day at the Half Moon Theatre exploring the creative and technical roles that bring a production from page to stage. Working as stage managers, actors and designers, they collaborated to bring a performance to life by the end of the day.

Year 9 Vision & Voices Oracy workshop: For the first workshop of the year students focused on group talk. Students started to plan and curate an exhibition space responding to their creative brief from The National Gallery. Excellent engagement and ideas from everyone.
