Thanks for the heads up - I prefer smaller sketchbooks too. I recently bought a Midori sketchbook and a lineless Hobonichi Techo notebook to get back into traditional art ... getting motivated is the hard part.

I love how his eye is just so ROUND

I'm pretty sure I said all this already. I just thought things would be getting better by now, not worse.

But, as far as I've noticed, they don't - most of the ones I've seen still act like it's ugly but harmless. It sucks, because they're the ones who'd be taken seriously, because people actually respect their opinions.

It really gets me down.

I wasn't sure what word to use: I think, I feel, I fear ... I guess it's a combination of those.

Sometimes I think it's too late for artists that haven't gotten their foot in the door yet (like myself).

They think human artists are born with a magical "gift," so in their eyes we're "privileged" and "need to be taken down a peg" as if we've had everything handed to us.

Meanwhile they see "AI" as actual intelligence, a scientific wonder and, ironically, also magic.

"It's genuinely a funny little idea for an ad" c'mon Kotaku, it wasn't funny. Like I said before, it was weirdly violent (because it was probably "trained" off of all sorts of disturbing videos of real human suffering).

To me it's another example that the people using this tech are sadists, because they're fine with scraping other peoples' work without their consent, and they thought this weirdly violent and miserable ad was hilarious.

I call anyone who uses AI "spam."

I found this out about the creator of Hello Kitty (Yuko Shimizu) earlier this year ... and last year was Hello Kitty's 50th anniversary.

It's even more awkward if you're both US and UK, watching all of this going on constantly. Cool, getting xenophobic treatment either way, cool. /s

I still think about Infinity Train, and I still wish you had the rights to it.

I honestly don't know how artists/writers are even "seen" in the first place outside of "knowing the right people" or already having major internet popularity (another version of "knowing the right people"). It seems like those who aren't already "in" are forever left "out."

It gets even better when you know ghosts don't exist in the first pace, whee
