"Easiest"? Maybe the best, but certainly not the easiest. Before anything like that, there's a lot that would have to happen before that could happen. Ranked choice voting, would almost certainly have to happen first.

True, and for a little while there, post WWII, till Reagan, I thought we were moving in the right direction, but then the neo-liberals became the majority in the Democratic party, changing the direction, and the corporate control over both parties moved us away into oligarchy land

That's the simplistic view, however, upon closer examination one finds the Democrats are actually divided between the neo-liberals (controlling majority), who represent corporate interests, and fit your narrative, and the progressives who want to represent the people, and their interests.
