Please tell me how well cynicism about world peace has served us.

We get to choose and we get to say enough already.

The key thing of course is equally distributing resources to everyone on earth. So nobody has an excuse to start a war.

I grew up on the idea that what you aim for is "world peace" and we need to bring that energy back, however "cringe" it may seem to you. Accepting that human history must necessarily continue to be defined by genocide is not it.

The idea that political leaders need to be cold-blooded mass killers - because it's necessary in a dog-eat-dog world - is realpolitik and it's bullshit. We get to decide what the world is to be like, and we need to stop slaughtering each other right now.
