why the hyperfixation on Starship when the safest most flown rocket in the USA is literally the Falcon 9? does 15 reuses of a core stage mean anything to you? or dropping launch costs so aggressively that Lockheed Martin and Boeing literally had to start a new company just to compete?

this is an irrationally pessimistic view after SpaceX pulled off multiple miracles that a decade ago would have been considered fantasy. don't forget we literally didn't have a rocket that could take our astronauts to the space station after the shuttle was retired, until SpaceX built one
