Hello ^-^ I’m Lotus, and I love doll collecting, especially for Xicheng. I also love to write and explore different settings in my work. A couple of my favourite stories to work on involve queer, disabled and working class characters. I also have a second account @froggicake.bsky.social.
I'm doing my best not to live by my anxiety, but when all you hear is severely bad news, it's extremely difficult. I often just think, "What's the point in participating in the world if there's no opportunities anymore?" Nothing prepares you for the world being on fire.

Having your anxiety proven time and time again is not good for trying to manage it. Now, if the governments around the world could just respect existing privacy laws and stop being corrupt, that would serve me well.

I know we count the days til "Black Friday" & "Cyber Monday" to get the best bang for our buck & lavish those we love over the holidays. This yr though, we need to lavish the GOV w/a message that No DEI, ICE allowed on store property, Tax cuts for huge retailers..We're putting our spending on ice.‼️

Let I can't drink anymore due to meds, but I never really gravitated to unless it was for social purposes. Like, fizzy drinks taste so much better than alcohol to me. It's very normalised to drink, and whilst I respect people's choices, I've just never really seen the appeal.

Writing wise, my least favourite thing to write about is work in modern settings. I think all the moments before and after work are so much more enjoyable to create. Like, I don't really care what job the characters are doing as long as they get that time to connect.

The loss of work
The crumbling of creator rights
The destroying of the environment and infrastructure
But it's also the destroying of trust in anything that you’re not seeing with your own eyes right in front of you.
Wonder now turned to the narrowing of eyes in immediate scepticism seeing something magical.
Questioning the realness of everything from a stilted written apology to profound works by students in school.
It feels like a slow poison to creativity and humanity at large.

I think people should really leave Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande alone when it comes to their friendship and health. The countless videos only incite bullying rather than making any significant positive change and are full of assumptions about them.

I watched Wicked and enjoyed it, but now my brain keeps thinking of ways they could've fixed the first half of the plot 😅 I just think there were some missteps. I might post a few notes on it once more people have seen it.

Remember your favorite creator possibly might be struggling with imposter syndrome and doubt and this timeline sucks.. so if you find yourself thinking “wow I really relate to this persons work” or that persons work gives you joy, you should probably tell them. It’s a hard time to be a creative.
