I love crying. No but really, I love books that are so emotionally charged I feel it deep in my soul. These are some that made me ugly cry to the point I needed to pause and take a deep breath before reading on.

I love my dogs so much.
I saw a post of someone trying to gain a dog’s trust after he was surrendered & it reminded me of Frank (right) growling when I first approached him at the shelter & I still took him home & that was the best choice I could ever make.

He was free bc he had stress-alopecia 😭

All of these are geared towards ebooks! I’ve had some luck reaching out to publishers for physical books but outside of your local library I unfortunately don’t have many ideas for free physical books.

Dia de los Muertos feels like the one day a year I get to see my mom. I miss her terribly.

I wish I had more to put on the ofrenda this year but I know they’ll all still come by & be thankful. I miss everyone so much. All but 2 of my blood family are there. It’s bittersweet to have them together. 🖤

I feel like my eyes were watering the whole time I was reading this. It was incredible. There is incest and that’s usually a hard stop for me but the story was so complex and tragic. Akwaeke is an incredible author and the way they write about grief is so heartbreaking. I absolutely loved it.
