I also tried also "DOOM I+II" but I am not convinced this is a superior version. Lot of annoying details not working as intended is really a bad first impression. Might give it second chance but need to read how to salvege this in options.

Finished "Sigil II" and that was something. I appreciate the trolling Romero does here with pushing both game and player to breaking point. It felt like a struggle more than like fun at times a first "Sigil" was already enough. But level design was masterful and I will remember it for year.

Wanted to see how "Dragon Quest VII" remake looks in real time and while demo gives me a promise of solid game I am still thinking the UE ascetics of melted plastic results in a look similar to European B-tier CGI animations. I personally will stick with 3DS version and may try the PSX one someday.

Tried "Yakuza Kiwami 3" demo and while I am not big fan of the changes (Rikiya, what happened?) the graphics feel mostly ok if not comparing directly to Y3. That said the contrast value of image is so insane that I am not sure it can be fixed. Reminded me of 2D-HD games nightmarish contrast.

"It Was Just an Accident" was terrific. While it may not have the meta-level depth of "No Bears" it is a great watch on its own terms. Absurdist comedy combined with real life tragedy work here amazingly making this a revenge drama filled with human kindness and compassion.

Just don't do it with first "Evil Dead". My mother made the mistake and it did not help me to build trust towards forest and cabins.
I think you could show Army of Darkness to any child and they’d be better for it

I finished Midgar in the original and it was fun. Still my favourite part of them game even if there us so much more the game has to offer. I appreciate the remake faithfulness in most of visuals but at the same time I hate how sanitised the story has become (not even mentioning that meta-bullshit).
While "Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth" is fun to a degree I started playing original again and have more fun in the end.

While I will advocate to watch films in cinema and buy physical copies I recently started using VOD and I find it to better option than streaming subscription. While subscription maybe cheaper if you watch many films I feel renting one specific title gives you more incentive to actually watch it.

"La Chimera" is a chill and enjoyable watch that is hindered by it running time and lack of structure. I feel echoes of Fellini in it but unfortunately they are faint as it is just good filmmaking not a brilliant one. Still good vibes and some magical moments worth seeing.

Each time I hear that Bluesky is dead I have a sigh of relief as I am happy with my little rant diary that one reads. Honestly each time I see a reply to my post I get all anxious because I expect somone to start a fight with me.

General experience with SW2 is that I will wait for a revision with OLED screen as there is hardly any reason to buy it for me currently.
I visited a friend recently who had Switch 2 and we played quite a bit of "Mario Kart World". I enjoyed it but it us hardly as impressive as MK8 was (even it is basic version). Still I had a lot of fun I and I did not even grasped correctly the jumping mechanic so there might be more sauce in it.

Fancy footwork and fire-dancing. Quick reflexes are needed if you're to beat one of Sin & Punishment's spectacular bosses.

One of the games I most looked forward most to playing after picking up our N64 last year.

Started watching "The X-Files" and first season is so funny. Mulder always jumps to absurd (but spot on) conclusions based on scraps of evidence. The cases themselves are just comically trashy with SFX and direction on a level of glorified porn film. It get better halfway through but still...

My favourite pasta place is stopping serving pasta for some reason. It is an extreme pity as it was best pasta place in the city (maybe even one of the best in the country) and rest is very good but this was on different level (given that it was still not a snobbish price range). [*]

Managed to get tickets for early screenings both for "Resurrection" and "It Was Just an Accident" so I will watched them a month early. Polish film distribution feels insane to me and I am starting to suspect those pre-release screenings are the only way distributors earn money.
"Resurrection" is getting a proper Polish cinema release in February is nice but it does not stop me from hating on Gutek for his idiotic approach to film distribution in Poland. I am glad that film no one cares about expect few freaks will be in cinema but there is a reason only freaks will go.

I used that screening as a reason to show my partner "Southland Tales" and watch her reaction. Insane film I absolutely adore despite it being a time capsule of the time in pop culture I absolutely detest. Ture Kino!
It was nice to see "Donnie Darko" in cinema finally (never had official distribution in Poland) and relive a bit of that teenage sadness that consumed me when I first watched it. Good film even if it feel like a 2h TV show episode.

I do not understand people romanticising 2016 as a last good year. I understand that those people might be nostalgic for the time of being young but it is the year that started this cursed timeline we live in now. Nothing worth reliving honestly.

Finished again "Resident Evil 4 Remake" this time on hardcore difficulty. Still great game maybe even most fun modern RE games have ever been but at the same time it really lacks the punch of the original. Wish they would go overboard with the mechanics and give us RE6 on steroids in better setting.

Watched "Sons" by Gustav Möller. Quite emotionally gripping story even if some plot ideas feel a bit stretched. Still it works quite well thanks to solid emotional core and so nuanced perspective on incarceration, systemic violence, possibility of resocialization and motherhood.
