Also remembered there's Suikoden tierkreis on the DS which is... Again it's definitely a hit or miss one.
The lead behind the series left after 2 which is why they seemed to change so much after.

Yeah I hadn't heard of the series so I just found a game called Suikoden tactics in cex as a teenager and picked it up

Yeah it got a release on PS3 digitally (was on PS2. Also never originally came out in Europe)
At least PS2 is easy to emulate so if it doesn't get a remaster you can play it on your computer
