I was there for the chaos between sets on the Metallica / GN’R at Oakland. The crowd went into such a frenzy they ripped up the Coliseum’s outfield & started a clod war. The A’s were in the playoffs the next week so Metallica had to pay for new sod. Never read if GN’R contributed.
