Really bums me out to see Pretty Series go in this direction, especially now that Aikatsu Series no longer has an active arcade game. I miss Pripara and Prichan 😢

To actually experience a full game, you have to spend a total of 500 yen - 100 to start the game, and 400 more for your cards. The new card printing system is impressive, sure, but the game itself isn’t actually enjoyable to play, so there’s no reason to collect cards in the first place.

PriMagi put the card shopping in the middle of the rhythm game. AiPri Verse splits the rhythm game into four very short segments (it felt like 15-20 seconds), each with an opportunity to buy a card at the end of the segment. If you don’t buy a card at the end of the first segment, the game ends.
