Just saying pecans throughout is the best pie. The two distinct layers with just pecans gloating on top of the sweet gooey layer is too sweet for me.

In his appearance, Fuentes stated that the “big challenge” to unifying the country against tribal interests was “organized Jewry in America,” and he expressed admiration for Soviet butcher Joseph Stalin. He did not receive any pushback from Carlson. Carlson stated during his interview that he thinks Cruz, Mike Huckabee, and other figures who are Christian and support Israel have been infected by a “brain virus.” About these “Christian Zionists,” he said: “I dislike them more than anybody. Because it’s Christian heresy, and I’m offended by that as a Christian.”

In addition to the line of credit set up by the United States, Argentina is the world’s largest debtor to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), having recently borrowed $20 billion on top of an existing debt of $43 billion. Like the Trump administration, the IMF is enthusiastic about Milei’s austerity program. Under Milei, Argentina is, as economist Delfina Rossi pointed out in Jacobin, caught in a classic debt trap, with payments to foreign creditors putting a tight ceiling on social spending. Speaking to John Cassidy of The New Yorker, Maurice Obstfeld, a former chief economist at the IMF, argues, “What’s worrisome here is that Bessent is repeatedly saying we will be there for the long term and we will do whatever it takes. He is effectively saying to foreign investors, ‘You will be able to get out whole.’” There is a strong conflict of interest in this situation because Bessent has many long-standing ties to international finance. Bessent’s promise to make good the debts of the Milei government is welcome news, Cassidy notes, for American hedge funds that have been investing in Argentinean assets. His greater commitment is to settle violence which will ultimately lead to the second coming. He is not on the side of Israel or the settlers. He is on the side of apocalypse end times prophecy.
For us, and many evangelical Christians across the country, it was our duty to defend and support Israel. Israel was God’s “chosen” nation and the formation of the country in 1948 was understood to be a fulfillment of end-times prophecy — specifically the second coming of Christ. The message we heard in church was that end-times prophecy was unfolding in front of our eyes and God needed our help to speed up the process toward an apocalyptic Armageddon that would ultimately culminate in the return of Christ. Those that opposed Israel would stand with “the Antichrist” and their blood would flow in the valley of Megiddo, all the way up to the horses’ bits (Revelation 14:20). This is not a fringe metaphorical fantasy, but a widespread evangelical belief tied to real political happenings here in the U.S. and in Israel-Palestine.
