The weather is definitely an issue when it comes to potential asylum seekers attempting to make it across the channel, but not the only one. The weather has been pretty abysmal the past few weeks, I know I live on the channel coast. Today is like a Mill pond, so let's see it makes a difference?

"If he is interested, I can show him the many messages that I have received from fellow pupils, including Jewish ones, that entirely contradict these allegations"

This is literally, I'm not racist, I have black friends.

Yep, it was part of the 2021 Triennial art festival, that we had in Folkestone. A few of the pieces from each festival are selected as permanent installations, this was one of them.

We have this up as a glorious 20ft high billboard in town.

Of course it's not just dodgy meat, it extended to all criminal enterprises. No one in their right mind wants a police state, so the best way is to work together and share as much data as possible, almost like some kind of economic community.

Indeed!
"Here were produced rubbishy newspapers containing almost nothing except sport, crime, and astrology, sensational five-cent novelettes, films oozing with sex, and sentimental songs which were composed entirely by mechanical means on a special kind of kaleidoscope known as a versificator"

The company I currently work for is a pretty small, specialist forwarder. I reckon we turn over £3-4 million a year in custom declaration.

One tactic Reform are using to reduce costs in Kent. Is asking frontline social service staff to justify the cost, of issuing potentially life saving equipment to elderly residents in the area.

I stopped voting for Labour after the invasion of Iraq, apart from a brief flirtation when Corbyn was leader. I have voted Green pretty much all the time since and joined as a member about 3 years ago. Labour are dead as a party, as far as I am concerned.

Can't wait for next summer's chaos at Western Dock. They've put the EES facility down next the Motis clearance. This is only accessible via the Viaduct, a single lane bridge. So all the trucks import and export, coaches and holiday traffic through here.

Let's not forget only 32 percent of US adults say they personally own a gun. But there are an estimated 393 million civilian firearms in the U.S., meaning there are about 120.5 guns per 100 people. A small minority of US citizens are literally holding a gun to the head of the American majority.

From at least 1500 BC I'd say. I was working in Bench Street in Dover, overlooking the excavation when they dug this up.

The Dover Bronze Age boat is around 3,500 years old, having been built around the time that the final touches were being made to Stonehenge.

The Devine Comedy released a new album yesterday, featuring a breezy little song, with bossa nova beat, called Mar-A-Lago By The Sea. Not sure they'll be doing an American tour anytime soon.

Gotta say, I felt a little bit naughty, when I bought back some cheese from France last week. Especially when the car in front of us, got pulled by customs.

No still in use, probably being extended for a while. It is a pretty dire place, that's why the MOD stopped using as accomodation for the TA and sold it to Taylor Wimpy to built on for housing.

Napier is still in use, I'm sat just around the corner right now. A lot of the guys housed in the barracks, are peacefully sitting in the park enjoying the Sunday league football.
