I never thought of my Kubickis as “headless, especially since they’re “drop-D”. The tuning machines are at the bridge. The design isn’t purely cosmetic, and certainly not for everyone. Changing strings IS a bitch compared to traditional basses, but they also tend to stay in tune better.
