I let my kids roam, untracked and unsupervised, from about 9 years old. I did worry sometimes and still do (they are now 27 and 31) but that was my problem, not theirs. But you get used to the idea that they can manage their own lives. They ring every week for a chat which is great.

I was in the last entry year of a Direct Grant school (before it went fully independent). I think this scheme worked well - especially for schools with a specialist focus. It could be a way of keeping certain fee paying schools while broadening access.

I honestly think it would go to the Greens in a by-election, if held in the next 1/2 year or so.

Yes. I think that is the point. There are limited resources - land, food, nature, people, skills - real things that you can see and understand, but money is not one of them. It is a means of exchange.
