and VR is fun for gaming! But the gamble Meta made on it did not pan out. It was supposed to be the Future™️ of everything but it was over-promised. It's just tech.

Well I'm being a touch clumsy as well. Yes of course there is technical, complicated uses for AI. Let it run your maths all day! We don't need it for cheap art, etc. AI is being pushed in a way that tells me it has been over-promised and over-sold (as was VR).

Yes of course there is utility. You know where I don't need AI? My washing machine, toothbrush, language apps, internet searches, etc.

There were medical interventions that utilized VR. Facebook saw an opportunity to buy VR (headsets) for gaming to make it profitable. I view AI similarly; pushed hard bc biz has leveraged itself on promises made by creators. You live long enough and you learn to see the Carpetbaggers.
