The way things have been going today (slooooowly), I may not reach Lisbon before dinnertime. We were supposed to be flying for 1h, and we're still on the ground. 😞

Didn't get blown off the hill, so we'll count that as progress.

Also honourable mention to Mrs Veitch, who gets some quality commentary in those letters. Probably the most I've read about this woman.. ever.

I used to joke about "poop and angst" in Anne Lister's journals, so I feel like I've been properly haunted this time around. Holy shit (but not literally). 🙃
