Love it! Haven't been back to Edmonton in 29 years, but the 23 I spent there were good ones.

The randomness is only due to the limitations of modeling in scope, scale, and speed.

I disagree. The LLM relies upon n-dimensional representations of words, phrases, sentences, etc within given contexts. These drive the output from a given prompt. They model the relations of linguistic structures and reflect them in an organized way.

It is if your metric for the meaning of the prompt is its representation in an n-dimensional space and the combined statistics of that representation within different contexts.

They are statistical which is a firm of logic. They are pattern based and store or recognize patterns, which is another form of logic. They are not infinitely productive as syntax is.

Is it for experience or for processing and regulating experiences? No doubt using language is in and of itself an experience, but it's purpose seems like refining and altering our mass of perceptions.

I think you're referring to syntax and the infinitely generative form of language that we view as human language. This does not relate to naming objects or associating strings if sounds with specific events or experiences.

When is the last time the supreme court stopped billionaires from billioning? They've barely ever slowed them down to millioning back in the good ole days
