My students taught me that you can remove permanent marker from a whiteboard by drawing over it with an erasable whiteboard marker and wiping it off with the eraser.

They only thing they know is if two bits are not the same, over and over again, in increasingly complex combinations.

I feel the same about "times smaller" - as in "The diameter of The Moon is four times smaller than Earth".
If I'm to accept it's possible to make something smaller by multiplying by a positive integer, we all must accept its possible to reduce drug prices by integer multiples of 100% 😜

Keep in mind that you're using the iron to heat the work piece hot enough to melt the solder, not melting solder onto the work piece.
However, a little molten solder on the tip helps with heat transfer.
