Yeah, Queen Amidala and the good guys succeed and liberate Naboo, but it's a clever way of showing what would ultimately lead to the rise of The Galactic Empire. I really appreciate that kind of long form, political storytelling.

The Pod Race sequence is also fucking fantastic. I also really like how it shows the beginning of the destabilization of the Galactic Republic, with Palpatine and The Trade Federation sowing doubts on the effectiveness of democracy through their siege in Naboo.
