This was a fun one! Pretty gross at times, but a compelling story of a small towns being ground down into a tourist trap, and exploring how the few remaining residents of said town feel watching it all unravel around them. Could've gone without the descriptions of people dissolving tho.

While not as immediately interesting as the first in the Murderbot series, I can clearly tell this one is lining a bunch of things up to pay off in later installments. ART is my friend and I would die for it. Looking forward to checking out the next one soon!

I too would instantly fold if I was saved from death by a strong, plump woman.
This was a delightful read! Great vision in exploring Shesheshen as a monster and a character, with a very fun plot! Would definitely recommend. Peak Yuri.

Finally finished the trilogy! A complex, morally gray space opera full of strongly written characters and lore that I really enjoyed quite a bit more than I expected! I think I'm a bit lukewarm on how a couple of the characters' stories conclude in this one. Great overall!

Jesus fucking Christ.
This is one of the most distressingly dark and nasty books I've ever read.
It may also be one of my new favs. This story is going to haunt me for a very very long time. What the fuck. What the fuck. It's peak.

A pretty heartbreaking work of historical fiction of people given a rough lot in life that still come together to do the right thing, despite how they've been treated by society. I quite enjoyed it! It had a fascinating depiction of hell that I'll be thinking about for a while.

I didn't really play the first game, but this shit is the exact kind of number-go-up game I haven't had in a while since dropping other similar games. I'm still only in Act 2 but this tickles my brain in a really satisfying way. We'll see how it holds up later.
