Yeah, I have my (mostly negative) thoughts on how my province of origin remains largely conservative, selfish and uninterested in learning how we got here, and I have no love for the selfishness of the mid-country folks, but for an educated populace - why is our media literacy so, so bad!?

I live in Vancouver and once jumped out into an aisle at a Toys R' Us to 'surprise peekaboo' someone I thought was my child's little friend.

It was Elvis Costello instead.

(I have never forgiven my kids dad for setting me up for one of the worst embarrassments of my life.)
