So what's the problem?
Well the Class 31 wheel flanges came into contact with the sleepers, so it bumped up and down which interfered with electrical contact.

Wonder if a different track brand would be more compatible?

I think I originally spotted it on a Youtube video.

No, it wasn't anything to do with Thunderbirds, the shows model makers just used some Thunderbirds kits in the vehicles. The Mole kits weren't hidden, it was obvious what they used.
I tried finding it again yesterday but failed to find it.

There is a Japanese sci-fi series that has a vehicle with two mole kits on the front of it.

They never filmed the starboard side of the mole for the TV series.
Hence only the port side has 'mole' in big letters.
But I guess it could have had 'mole' on the starboard side but we never saw it.

Yeah I wish I had cut away more around the cockpit area.
I built an accurate version of the control console for it but you can't see much of it!

The Mole kit I built was the Aoshima one.
It had a lot of plastic internally for I assume originally a motor, switch and battery.
Since I wanted to create an interpretation of the interior I had to cut all of that away. Took ages.

Yeah, i learnt the hard way.
I thought buying cheap Isopropyl alcohol and using it for thinners would save money. It turned out costing more because it resulted in a ruined air brush.

OK for cleaning or removing acrylic paint (it dissolves it), but will probably clog your air brush if used as a thinner.
